Environment
This is the assigned name to the coastal area in Spain which starts in Blanes, and finishes at the border with France in Portbou.
The coastline has an extension of 214 km and it includes the Catalan regions of Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà and La Selva. It is located in the province of Girona, which belongs to the Autonomous Region of Cataloniain Spain.
More than 30% of the total surface of the area in the region of Girona is protected due to its natural interest. The most important natural areas in Costa Brava are right around Roses:
